Vault door with decorative frame - "Diebold Safe and Lock Co. Canton O"
Large vaults from Diebold Safe and Lock provide protection to records in several offices. This is the only one with the original decorative trim.
Cabinets located in each vault hold leather bound record books
Each vault has steel shelving units from Imperial Steel Cabinet Co,
A view in the attic from the north facing the south window: beams and braces support the roof
Huge beams and braces support the roof in the original section of the courthouse. Graffiti was found dating back to the early 20th century!

This painting of Arad Hitchcock graces the north wall of the courtroom. He was elected Mitchell County Judge in 1858 - the same year the courthouse was built.
